The Division of Community Health works to prevent diseases and promote health for all county residents. Using data and information from the Division’s Health Assessment and Data team, programs work to improve outcomes for important health issues like childhood lead poisoning, chronic disease, tobacco use/vaping, cancer screening, suicide, substance use disorders, and more. The Division also houses the Public Information Officer and media team, which administers the Health Department's media relations, marketing, and communications efforts.
Our goals are to identify and address barriers to living a healthy life, and to work with community partners to make sustainable, data-driven policy and environmental changes to ensure that the healthy choice is also the easy choice! |
