The mission of this program is to prevent the spread of tuberculosis in Onondaga County and eliminate it as a public health problem.
The Tuberculosis (TB) Control program:

  • Provides comprehensive testing, diagnosis, and treatment of active tuberculosis cases in Onondaga County
  • Decreases the public health threat of TB by evaluating and treating positive cases of TB, while promoting preventative therapy as indicated for contact cases
