WEP has numerous vehicles that are used in servicing
treatment plants and other facilities. The vehicles are
maintained by the Department's Fleet Service Group.
The Fleet Service Group is active with other County departments,
too, from its two locations at the Syracuse
Metropolitan Sewage Treatment Plant. One location
specializes in large trucks and heavy equipment; the
other deals with lighter vehicles.

specifications for all County vehicles, except those
used in the Department of Transportation. For example,
it wrote the specifications for the County's truck for
the SWAT Command Unit and for the mobil emergency
response unit.

The Fleet Service Group also services all County-owned miscellaneous
equipment such as pumps and compressors.

the County's maintenance costs down in the repair of
County-owned vehicles to save taxpayers' money.
