Voter Registration

POLITICAL PARTY CHANGES FOR THE 2020 ELECTION SEASON MUST BE RECEIVED IN OUR OFFICE BY OCTOBER 11, 2019 AT 5PM. POSTMARKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The qualifications for voting in New York State are as follows:
• Be a U. S. citizen
• Be 18 years old by the end of this year.
• Live at your present address at least 30 days before an election
• Not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction unless parole pardoned or restored rights of citizenship
• Not claim the right to vote elsewhere

Last day to register at your local board of elections, to be eligible to vote in the

General Election

Tuesday, November 5, 2019

MAIL REGISTRATION Sec. 5-210 (3)

Friday, October 11, 2019               

Last day to postmark an application to be eligible to vote in the General Election.

IN PERSON REGISTRATION

Friday, October 11, 2019               

Last day to register at your local board of elections, to be eligible to vote in the

General Election. If honorably discharged from the military or have become a naturalized citizen since October 12th you ma register in personat the board of elections up until October 26th. §§5-210, 5-211, 5-212

Friday, October 11, 2019               

Last day to accept a change of enrollment. Election Law Title III Sec. 5-304(3)

*PLEASE NOTE* Application must be received in our office by this deadline date for the party enrollment change to become effective for the following year.

Wednesday, October 16, 2019               

Last day to register in person at the Board of Elections if you have been honorably discharged from the military, became a naturalized citizen or are a registered voter who has moved within the county after October 11th. §5-208(3)
