Visitation, Phone Calls and Mail
The health and safety of our youth, families and staff members is our top priority.
Therefore, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, all in person Visitations have been put on hold.
However, remote visitations through the use of electronic devices will take place with youth and their approved family member. These remote sessions are scheduled through our Social Work Department.
Onondaga County will continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 in our community and Hillbrook will communicate when in-person visitations will resume.
Please call 315.435.1421 and ask to speak with a Case Worker about scheduling a remote visit.
Thank you for your understanding.
Official Visitor
(Anyone officially involved in the youth case—law guardian,
Probation Officer, Case Worker, OCFS worker, etc.)
Contact the social work department or Senior Counselor to schedule a remote meeting.
Phone Calls
Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact the Social Work department regarding all levels of communication with their child.
The social worker assigned to a youth will contact the primary parent or guardian to schedule phone calls/remote visits.
Mail
Hillbrook will provide all writing supplies and postage. All residents are encouraged to write letters. Residents are not allowed to correspond with former residents.
Incoming mail will be opened by administration prior to distribution to remove any items not permitted in the facility.
