Located on the western shore of Onondaga Lake in the Town of Geddes is Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview. A hugely successful restoration project of Onondaga County, the state-of-the-art amphitheater, which opened its doors on September 3, 2015 with country music superstar Miranda Lambert, has quickly become Central New York’s premier concert location. In the short time since its opening, the amphitheater has hosted over 200 different artists, including some of today’s biggest stars

With accommodations for up to 17,500 people, the amphitheater features 5,000 reserved seats and an expansive lawn for guests to enjoy memorable performances with friends and family. In 2016, the amphitheater was awarded “Best of the Best Government/Public Building Project” by Engineering News-Record as well as “Exceptional Facility Design” by the New York State Recreation & Park Society. This facility is exemplary of Onondaga County’s Onondaga Lake Revitalization program, and its tremendous success speaks for itself.
