The Juvenile Justice Services Unit works with youth ages 7-15 that are truant or engaged in runaway, ungovernable or delinquent behaviors in accordance with the New York State Family Court Act, and their families. The Department works in collaboration with the Onondaga County Probation Department and the Onondaga County ACCESS Team in providing services to the youth and families that will keep the community safe and reduce recidivism to help youth become productive members of the community. These services and interventions include:
• Persons in Need of Supervision (PINS) • Juvenile Delinquency Adjustment Services • Crossover Youth Intervention Team • Hillbrook Detention Center & Non-Secure Detention Services
