William T. Kinne

COUNTY LEGISLATOR – 15th DISTRICT

Legislator Bill Kinne represents the 15th District in the Onondaga County Legislature which includes Solvay, parts of Geddes, a part of the Town of Onondaga, and includes the Syracuse neighborhoods of Strathmore and the Valley. 

Legislator Kinne grew up on the Southside of Syracuse, graduating from Corcoran High School in 1974. He earned degrees at OCC and Arizona State University. Before and after college he worked at Green Hills Farms on South Salina Street in Syracuse. 

Legislator Kinne launched his own business in 1999, Bill Kinne Property Management Services, which performs snow removal, lawn care, landscaping, caretaker and handyman services.

It has been in operation for 20 years.

Bill was first elected to the Onondaga County Legislature in 1991 and represented his neighbors from 1992 to 2011. After suffering and recovering from a brain bleed, Bill next served as a Legislative Aide for the County Legislature from 2012 to 2018. Bill was again elected to the County Legislature in 2019 and was sworn-in in 2020.

Bill is married to Beth, a part-time substitute teacher in Syracuse City Schools, and they have four grown daughters, Hanna, Amaris, Lara and Sophia Therese.
