Understanding the distribution of childhood lead poisoning by geography and by race is critical for understanding local disparities in lead poisoning. This information is particularly important for ensuring culturally appropriate services are provided to members of our community.
Below are tables that provide a breakdown of the number of children tested for lead poisoning and the number found to have elevated results (≥5 mcg/dL) by place and race within Onondaga County. Please note that several records in the NYSDOH LeadWeb Application do not contain race and are therefore marked as “unknown race” in the tables below. Please refer to the Explanation of the Data for information on how these data were analyzed.
