The Council serves as an agency to:
• Coordinate the efforts of local Veterans organizations
• Provide a forum to discuss legislation that affects Veterans
• Ensure the welfare of community Veterans and present a united Veterans front
• Promote the good of Onondaga County
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month (except for November and December) at 7:00 pm in the “All Who Served Club” on the 3rd floor of the Onondaga County War Memorial.
Dues are $10 per year for three members to join from each Veterans organization. More are
welcome to attend but only three can vote per the bylaws of the Council.

The Veterans Council has been selected by the Onondaga County Executive's Veterans Advisory Board to be the 501(c)3 Organization in charge of distributing the funds from the newly formed Friends of the Onondaga County War Memorial. These funds are available to Veterans and Veterans organizations that have a specific need for an event or an item. Please click here for a Request for Funding Form.
