The Onondaga County Department of Emergency Management coordinates training programs for Onondaga County emergency services personnel and disaster response stakeholders.
Please make note of the following guidelines specific to training programs for fire service and EMS responders.
Fire service training programs are offered to members
of
fire departments based on a the following priority:
- Active Onondaga County Firefighters
- Onondaga County Restricted Access Members (RAM)
- Out of county firefighters
Firefighter training programs are not open to the general public. Course registration requires completion of the training authorization letter and evidence that any pre-requisite training is completed. Properly completed training authorization letters must be submitted to the course instructor on the first class day.
Classes may be canceled if the training roster does not meet an established minimum number of registrants. |
