As a LaFayette Optimist member, I am very proud to participate in a long-standing tradition. Each year the LaFayette Optimist Club, the Tully Rotary Club, and the Pompey Lions donate dictionaries to third graders in the LaFayette, Tully, and Fabius-Pompey school districts. Thank you to everyone that helps keep this tradition alive!

Legislator Linda Ervin of the 17th district was recently named volunteer of the month in the Eagle Newspaper. Linda serves her community as a member of the DeWitt Rotary, the Upstate Medical University Advisory Council, is the past president of Jubilee Homes of Syracuse, has served on the board of ACTS (Alliance of Communities Transforming Syracuse) and is involved in Interfaith Works, The National Action Network, the Lambda Kappa MU Sorority, Catholic Charities and more.
