Municipal Law
The Municipal legal unit is responsible for
the representation of the County of Onondaga and its various
components for all contracts, environmental issues, personnel
matters, legal opinions, legislative matters, real property,
tax matters and litigation.
The litigation unit handles all civil litigation
on behalf of the County as both defendant and plaintiff. All
claims made against the County, including personal injury,
civil rights violations, property damage or negligence matters
are handled by department staff. This includes the administration
of insurance matters under contract and the investigation,
negotiation and/or motion or trial of the matter as necessary
and appropriate. |
