New steam line — Summer 2002

Because of the expansion of treatment facilities at the Metropolitan Syracuse Wastewater Treatment Plant, additional heating capacity was required. The Onondaga County Department of Water Environment Protection (WEP) installed a new low pressure steam line to accommodate these needs.

The new lines for steam and condensate are laid in a trench.   A worker welds a seam on the low pressure steam line.
