The Bureau of Community Environmental Health provides public health services in the areas
of Food Protection, Residential Sanitation and Temporary Facilities.

  • Performs inspections of food service facilities
  • Provides plan review and approval for new food service facilities
  • Investigates foodborne illness outbreaks
  • Investigates food service facility complaints
  • Provides training for the food service industry
  • Provides public information and education concerning food safety issues
  • New York State Clean Indoor Air Act enforcement at food service facilities
